In this era of an increasing sense of global citizenry, issues of international implication are no longer the sole responsibility or interest of one government or people. While individual governments examine how best to leverage Web 2.0 tools to be open in/for their own countries, how can governments with shared goals present information and collaborative approaches online?

The primary focus of this track is Government to Government collaboration with the help of others in the community. Speakers may wish to consider the following questions:

  • How does the rise of online communities impact governments?
  • How do governments handle freedom of expression and censorship concerns in various countries?
  • How governments can collaborate with each other not at the Ambassador level, but at the working level.
  • How can governments identify and leverage government developed applications to provide better services to citizens.
  • How can government tap into the broader social media community on a variety of issues ranging from global citizenship and global issues to more local issues affecting our every day communities?

If you would like to submit a speaker/panel submission, please describe what you will talk about, what organization you are representing, the format you are proposing, and how your proposal maps to the Camp themes. Creativity is encouraged!

All submissions for speakers/panels must be uploaded here no later than midnight EST on January 23, 2010. Voting by the Community and space availability will determine if your session is accepted. Voting closes at midnight EST January 30, 2010. The final Camp schedule will be posted no later than February 1, 2010.
