Budgets are shrinking, but demand for services continues to grow. How do state and local governments use technology to serve citizens better, especially in a tough economy?

Speakers may wish to consider the following questions:

  • How have you used technology to improve service while reducing cost?
  • What solutions have you created that can be applied throughout all levels of government?
  • What unique challenges do state and local governments face?
  • Does the Open Government Directive, including the values of transparency, collaboration, and participation--apply to state and local governments?
  • Have you considered public/private partnerships? What are your experiences with them.

If you would like to submit a speaker/panel submission, please describe what you will talk about, what organization you are representing, the format you are proposing, and how your proposal maps to the Camp themes. Creativity is encouraged!

All submissions for speakers/panels must be uploaded here no later than midnight EST on January 23, 2010. Voting by the Community and space availability will determine if your session is accepted. Voting closes at midnight EST January 30, 2010. The final Camp schedule will be posted no later than February 1, 2010.
